Red, blue, and the green - Self discovery of the Redhead

Notice Dalny-Marga's second treatment of red 

hair  color by Clairol, Light Intense Red applied

 with 30 vol peroxide for 20 minutes.  This is the

 second layer of red color that Dalny will be using

 to achieve her trademark look of a green eyed

 red head.  Also notice Dalny's green eyes,

  freckles and pink under tone skin color, she

 wears an alabaster foundation.

She is a natural Redhead, only those with the red

 hair pigment can achieve a true red hair color. 

 The red color has to be able to bond with the

 natural pigmentation of the hair.

Growing up, Dalny followed the natural course of

 events, she like most people, were either blonde

 or  brunette.

 When she was born, she had a reddish start to

 her original hair growth.  Her hair changed

 into a blonde as she grew, until about junior

 high when her hair darkened, but she didn't

 realize that she had the recessive red hair gene

 in her makeup. 

 Dalny followed her blonde hair and began

 bleaching her hair like the other blondes did, not

 noticing at that young age that her natural color

 was a reddish dark blonde.  

Even if she had noticed, there has typically been

 a negative  portrayal of Redheads,  so that was

 against her.  Beauty marketing was also against

 her, constant blonde hair campaigns ruled the

 airwaves and conditioning telecasts messaged 

"get the brass out", "tone down the warm tones 

 make it cool". 

 Many products are actually geared towards

 eliminating red tones.  'Unless you're a green

 eyed red head' should have been the disclaimer. 

 But the majority isn't, so it stands to reason that

 they wanted to talk to the majority of people.

The pressure to conform to either of 2 standards

 was great.  Lucky for  her  that she doesn't have

 blue eyes because her green eyes compliment 

her red hair perfectly.  

Dalny didn't realize that she was a Redhead until

 she turned 55, after much trial and error and

 seeing that the conventional hair colors weren't

 working for her. Now she's a beautiful sex

 symbol Redhead just in time for Valentines Day!

 Now on to the movies!!
